8. If you were to describe yourself using a quotation, what would that quotation be? After you have chosen a quote, then write a bit about how it relates to you and reveals what kind of person you are.

If I could use a quotation to describe myself I would us the one by Socrates which says “all I know is that I know nothing” I identify myself with this quote because I am really skeptical. I know people have claimed that they know a great number of things however I just say that I really don’t know. I am not sure 100 percent of anything. I just believe in everything I think I know; however, I know that I really do not know, but I think that what I know could be true but could also be false. That is why I go back to the quote “all I know is that I know nothing” because I accept that since I am a human there is no way that I can actually know.

9. Given the authority to establish a holiday, what would you choose to commemorate? Why? What would the celebration look like?

If I had the authority to establish a holiday I would establish the birthday of Elvis Presley as a holiday. I would establish Presley’s birthday as a holiday because with his music he changed the life of many people. The perception of what rock was before Presley totally changed. Presley had the spark that could sheer up a whole multitude at the same time that it made it sad, mad or crazy. He could move a crowd so good that it was hard for anything to stop him. His music was just a pile of mixed emotions that felt your heart with adrenaline and you just couldn’t stop it. It made you love and hate life at the same time, you felt blue, red and green; every color was going through your body and you just couldn’t explain how it was happening. You were confused because you knew you were standing up but you felt like you were flying. Your brain said it was just music but your heart yelled with intensity that it was heaven. You knew, when you heard his music, that you had to celebrate that person every year on his birthday.

10. What is the best advice you've ever received? Explain.

The best advice that I have ever received is to try my best and never give up. It is the best advice that I have ever received because every time that I fail at something I just keep trying my best. It is also the best because it got me thinking about all the mistakes that I have made throughout my life and how I can avoid making those mistakes again. This specific advice has taught me not to give up and it has shown me that you can never get the best results unless you put in the best efforts. Since I heard those words I try my best, it does not matter what I am doing or how hard it is I try to accomplish what I am doing and I try to get the best results. I also learned that it is important to always be positive and try to stay calm, every fail just makes you stronger than before.

11. Ask and answer the one important question that a university won't ask you, but you wish they would.

The question universities won’t ask you is, “how serious are you about joining our college?” I would answer the question easily by saying that I am really serious about joining. I would tell them that I am passionate about what I want to do and that I would do my best to accomplish what I want, so that is the reason that I would like to join the university. I would also give them a plan of what I have in mind for when I graduate from college so that they can know that I have determination and that I know what I am doing. I can also tell them about the side plans that do not include what I am studying but that can help me succeed in life. I can then tell them how this is really important and how I know that I will manage to get there and that I would really like to the process to happen in that college. After I explain that I am serious about joining their college then they will know that the right thing to do is to accept my application.

12. Your life is a movie. Describe the first 15 minutes.

The first 15 minutes of the movie would be foreshadowing my career. It would start when I am in elementary playing soccer and I just scored a goal, I am 10 years old and I am really happy. The scene then would change to when I am in the class and they are giving back the results for the math test, they ask me if I want to know my score and I say yes, they answer with 100 percent. The camera changes focus and then the scene is 6 years later when I am in high school, I am now in eleventh grade in my math analysis class, the teacher gives me back my test and I ,again like the scene before, get 100 percent. This shows how I have been really good in math since I was small and how math is very important to how I succeed in life.
